Testimonials
I have worked with Ma'ayan monthly for over a year to support my creative writing. Because of the personal work Ma'ayan has done to accept her own identities and process them with sacred directionality toward how she can be an agent of change for the world, how Ma’ayan holds space is honestly incredible.
I am White, Disabled, Neurodivergent, Mad, Queer, Genderqueer and in a Superfat/Infinifat body. In my personal writings, I process my identities, my past traumas and recovery. Ma'ayan encourages my authenticity, my self-exploration and even fear barriers with gentle and creative energy and ideas.
For my professional and academic writings, Ma'ayan brings the same thoughtful energy, always encouraging me to honor my need for a break, look for creative outlets to keep my words, thoughts, and expressions flowing, and to hold space for the silence as well.
In the past year, I have grown around my own self-acceptance as a chronically ill person and have experienced her understanding as a deep validation that only shared lived experience can bring. My internalized ableism has shifted, my internalized sanism has transformed...I am so thankful for the unique niche Ma'ayan has!

“Through personal consultations with Ma’ayan, I have been able to uncover some of my internalized ableism which has prevented me from seeking the treatments and services that I need. Ma’ayan has given me the courage to advocate for myself with doctors, in education, and in the world as a whole. I truly cannot overstate how much she has given me.”

“Ma'ayan Simon is one of the foremost (and my favorite) thinkers and activists changing how our society and culture shame pain and seek to destroy those in pain rather than address its origins in our history and present-day structures. I am so in love with Ma'ayan's healing, embracing, wise, intelligent, and joyfully creative work. I do all I can to ensure it radiates widely.”
